Jared Trog began his martial arts journey as a white belt in 1995 and worked his way up to green belt before taking a break to focus on academics.
After a brief period in boxing Mr. Trog returned to Taekwondo in 2003 and earned his 1st Dan under Master Self in 2008 and his 2nd Dan in 2010. During this time, he trained with many other instructors in the DFW area, including Grandmaster Mike Johnson, Grandmaster Roy Kurban, and Master Eva Dubois. Mr. Trog also competed in an amateur Muay Thai kickboxing match and two amateur MMA matches, with a record of 1-1-1.
In 2013, Mr. Trog earned his 3rd Dan under Grandmaster Johnson, continuing his training and teaching at Grandmaster Johnson's school while competing in tournaments and winning first place and Grand Champion in forms and fighting.
Mr. Trog continued his training and teaching under Grandmaster Johnson and Grandmaster Kurban, eventually earning his 4th Dan in 2019. In September 2019, Mr. Trog competed and won in a WAKO benefit fight for the late Grandmaster J. Pat Burleson.
In 2022, Mr. Trog started training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and competed in the Jiu Jitsu World League, winning two fights by submission. He currently holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Mr. Trog is a dedicated and experienced instructor with a passion for teaching martial arts to all ages. His experience in various martial arts styles, including Taekwondo, BJJ, boxing, kickboxing, and MMA, makes him a well-rounded and versatile instructor. His training under Grandmaster Johnson and Grandmaster Kurban, as well as his commitment to continuing his own training, ensures that he is always learning and improving.
